Nathan C. Wood
Chief Enabling Officer, SpectrumAEC
Nathan Wood has emerged as an innovation thought leader across the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. Nathan’s experience with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Lean process improvement, and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) has led him to realize how proven technology solutions can too often result in adoption failure and lost ROI. As Founder and Chief Enabling Officer of SpectrumAEC, Nathan blends Emotional Intelligence (EQ) with Design Thinking strategy to help teams overcome adoption barriers through collaborative debate and mutual respect for different perspectives.
Outside of SpectrumAEC, Nathan continues to support industry progress through speaking engagements, industry research publications, and as President of the Construction Progress Coalition.
Construction Technology Specialist
Taking a nontraditional path into the world of construction, Nichole Carter graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Technical Direction. While working in theaters across the nation she acquired skills such as welding, rigging, stage automation, fine carpentry and project management; all of which helped her transition into a support role with Catamount Constructors, Inc. Brought on as the Process Improvement Coordinator, Nichole worked to establish their post construction client services, assisted in the development & deployment of their custom quality control platform and managed their corporate-wide roll out of the construction management software, Procore. Since leaving Catamount, Nichole has been counselling general and specialty trade contractors to improve their business processes, gain valuable operational insight, increase workflow efficiencies and produce a leaner high-quality product; with the use of strategically applied construction technology.
